CIRCLESINGS

CIRCLESINGS are all-come song-creating sessions grounded in the practices of Bobby McFerrin, Rhiannon, Zuza Gonçalves and others. We use games developed internationally to layer nuggets of sound, creating expressive ephemeral music.
One way that might look is someone shares with the group a very short phrase that we all repeat... then someone else adds another short phrase that expands or deepens the music... and another and another, until we're all dropped in to a wonderful music we couldn't have made alone. We move through playfulness and discomfort to hear the heart and root music singing in our core. All experience is welcome, no experience is necessary. Might sound complicated or intimidating, but is actually a little weird and a lot wonderful! |
Place: we gather at the Heineberg Community and Senior Center, a wonderful retro space in the New North End of Burlington.
Times: Tuesdays from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. and Thursdays 7:30 - 9:00 p.m.: your payment covers either or both sessions
